For the 4th of July weekend, I was supposed to go to Savannah, GA with 3 friends. Our plans changed however, when one of my friend's father had a mild heart attack last Tuesday. We decided to cancel our trip, so I had no idea what I would be doing this weekend and since the last two 4th of July's were really bad for me - both ruined by stupid boys! : ) I was a little apprehensive about it.
It turned out to be a great weekend though. Friday night I had some time by myself which I spent just kind of driving around, thinking, praying, listening to music, and then later worked on my lesson for Sunday School since I was asked to teach this week. Saturday I spent most of the day with one of my close friends hanging out at the pool and later going to the Varsity (Atlanta's landmark hamburger joint). Sunday morning was church, then Sunday School. We had a really good class with some great discussion. Sunday night I spent hanging out with friends and watching a movie. Monday I got to spend a couple of hours with one of my newest friends - a lady that spent 10 years as a missionary in Hungary - she's also the one leading my new accountability/Bible Study group. Then Monday night I went to the Braves game with a friend.
Turned out to be a really good weekend afterall!
Time for Bible Study... gotta run!
