Rushing the Seasons

Ooh... Its been too long since I've posted!

So I was thinking today about how we want to rush almost every season away. In winter, I can't wait for the warmth and flowers of spring. In spring I can't wait for summer so my allergies will go away. In summer I look forward to the slightly cooler and more colorful days of fall. Fall I'm pretty good with. Depending on where I live and what stage of life I'm in, this may vary slightly. (For example, as a kid growing up in Michigan, spring (except for the allergies) and summer were definitely the best!)

I gradually seem to be moving out of the somewhat slow season of life I was in for a while. When things seemed at the slowest for me, I had to admit that I was wanting work. I can easily see the day when I'm swamped and wishing for those slower days, for that different season.

So today I'm celebrating the changing of seasons. I don't know if I could handle one season of life for too long. I'm grateful that God knows when it's time for a change in our lives.
