About time for an update...

For all of you who have e-mailed me, thank you. I'm still trying to get caught up on my e-mails so I apologize if I haven't responded to yours. I realize that a lot of you don't know the first thing about Adam so I decided I'd try to give a summary and answer some of the many questions everyone seems to have.

First, we haven't set a date yet. I'll be sure to post it when we do. We'd like to get married this fall, but have some things to take care of first so we'll see.

For those of you wondering how we met... We met in April through Awakening, which is a worship service for singles (20s & 30s) at our church that I'm the director for. Adam was the drummer for a band that we were using at the time.

For those of you wondering how he proposed... The day after Christmas we drove to Michigan to spend the week with my family. On New Years Eve, we were at my brother (Kevin) and his wife (Jenifer)'s house. After midnight, everyone had gone their separate ways and he and I were sitting on their couch talking when he pulled a journal out of a bag that he had with him. He read me a poem that he wrote about me and then he got down on his knee and pulled the ring out and asked me to marry him. It was very sweet and certainly a moment I will never forget. The next morning we had breakfast at my parent's house with my family and we shared the news then. We had a really sweet time together celebrating.

My roommate is getting married in less than two months so between the two of us we have lots going on!
