Another Blog

So since I'm such a great blogger - Oh wait, my last post was in December! - I've decided to start another blog! This one really won't require me to do the writing much so hopefully I'll be a little more successful. Any way, it's a blog for wives of church planters. Today was my official first day of the blog and I've had over 100 hits, so I'm pretty excited. Check it out at: http://planterwives.wordpress.com/.

So I guess I'm due to give an update now. Adam and I still love living in Midtown, especially now that it's getting warmer and we can walk everywhere! We love our church. We have three women at our church who recently found out they're pregnant and one of my closest friends, Nicole, is getting ready to adopt. And no, we're still not ready for kids yet.

Adam is praying about a career change. I'm trying not to be bitter about my discriminating work environment.

We're looking forward to our vacation in two weeks, even though we're not going anywhere extremely exciting. Not that Michigan, isn't exciting, but you know... We're spending a few days in Michigan, then coming back through Gatlinburg and spending one night there, then we're going to have several days of vacation just at home so Adam can do some work on the basement.
I've recently joined the facebook world. I recently even had some friends from high school find me on there, which was weird since I haven't kept in touch with anyone from high school.

Oh yeah, and my harddrive on my iBook died recently. It's still not fixed, but hopefully we'll be able to take care of that soon. Thankfully, shortly after it died I was given a laptop for work and since I'm still in a cubicle (discriminating workplace!), I have to bring my laptop home every night, so right now it's coming in handy!

Adam and I feel like we're finally starting to make some progress in connecting with some people in our community. We had our neighbor and her boyfriend over for dinner this week. I have really been convicted since we felt called to move to Midtown that we haven't really made much of a difference in our community, but hopefully that will start to change.

I'll try to write again soon!
