Yesterday Adam and I celebrated our one year anniversary! In some ways it's hard to believe its been a year, but on the other hand, I feel like I've been married a lot longer than just a year. Its been a great year and we're looking forward to many more. Last night we watched the video of our wedding and were reminded of how special our friends and family are to us and how God just really had His hand on that day. There were so many things that could have gone wrong, but didn't. I am so grateful to have great memories of my wedding day.
We decided that one of our anniversary traditions should be to buy a new game every year around our anniversary as sort of an anniversary present for both of us. (We LOVE games!) This year we bought a game called A to Z. It's pretty fun. We also enjoy Dutch Blitz, Scrabble, RummieKub, and Yahtzee.
About a week and a half ago we took a mini-vacation. We both took Thursday and Friday off work and went up to Cleveland, GA. A co-worker of mine has a cabin up there that she and her husband let us use from time to time. It was a real blessing because we really couldn't afford to go anywhere, but we needed some time away. We had a great time. The weather was perfect. We did some hiking, sleeping in, playing games, watching movies, etc.
This past weekend we were apartment hunting again. We've given notice at our current apartments that we will be leaving when our lease is up (Nov 30), so it's official now. We found a couple of prospective places that are within our price range and not ghetto, so we're making progress!
Work is crazy right now. The Church Planter Wives book I'm working on is coming together. I have to have everything ready for the printer by October 15 so it's crunch time now. I'm excited about it though. I think it's going to be a very helpful resource. We met with the designer to look at some ideas for the cover last week. Once we get that finalized, I'll post it.
There's some major meetings and supposedly big decisions being made at NAMB this week, so that has everyone a little bit apprehensive and plenty of rumors flying. I'm not real concerned, but am very curious to see what changes are coming.
I think that's it for now!
